DIGITAL MARKETING EXPERTISE

Search-first marketing, built for how people discover, evaluate, and buy today.

The digital marketing landscape is broad and constantly shifting. Rather than claim expertise in every channel or chase every new trend, I focus on channels that work together to boost your search visibility. That means SEO, GEO, content marketing, and paid search, combined to help your business get found, build trust, and grow.

Your digital expert in all things search marketing

As a digital marketing expert with a decade of experience, I help founder-led businesses improve visibility and conversions across search engines, AI platforms, and other channels. All activity is part of a planned, documented strategy, designed to support how your audience moves through the decision-making process, from search to site to sale.

Unlike some out there who measure performance solely on keyword rankings, I’m interested in traffic and traction – the quality and behaviour of the people finding your site. After all, if SEO isn’t driving ROI, it isn’t working, no matter how high you sit in search results.

If you feel as though digital marketing is stealing too much of your time, here’s how I help:

Marketing Agency Icon

Done-for-you audits and management, or strategic oversight, whichever suits your business best.

Marketing Agency Icon

Clarity over what’s worth doing. No more guessing which channels or tactics will deliver results.

Marketing Agency Icon

Joined-up strategy, with SEO, your website content, and paid search working together, not in silos.

Digital marketing expertise

Add a dependable digital marketing expert to your team, so you can reclaim your time and focus elsewhere.

SEO

Traditional SEO strategies are still relevant, but generative AI tools such as ChatGPT, Gemini, Perplexity, and the like are rapidly influencing where and how people search online. Whether they’re seeking quick answers or comparing providers, audiences are turning to these new sources.

Savvy marketers are moving from Search Engine Optimisation, to Search ‘Everywhere’ Optimisation. Meaning, we focus on all the places online where your potential customers may be searching. This still includes search engine results pages, but also AI summaries, AI tools, and other channels.

Looking for a future-focused marketer to drive your success? We should talk.

Content marketing

Long-form content is a critical part of search marketing, but it’s also a way to connect with potential clients to build trust over time. A successful blog post will do both of these things: help you be found online and nurture a customer relationship. All of this drives higher conversion rates and lifetime value.

Great SEO consultants include content marketing as part and parcel of search marketing efforts – particularly for B2B and businesses with longer, more considered sales cycles. Written for humans but optimised for search, your website content should be evergreen enough to attract traffic year-round.

Google Ads

Paid search advertising via Google Ads or Bing is a fast way to ensure visibility for the words and phrases potential customers are searching. It can act as a short-term solution as you build SEO and presence, or a long-term strategy that goes hand-in-hand with organic search marketing and delivers a steady stream of leads over time.

A quality Google Ads specialist will devise a plan for your business based on search demand, your objectives, and your available budget. The right account structure, ad copy, landing page, and approach to optimising are important. And while it’s possible to run ads without a pro, you may waste spend.

THE LATEST ACRONYM

A note about Generative Engine Optimisation ‘GEO’

Nobody needs another acronym in their life, but in the digital world, it’s inevitable.

‘GEO’ stands for Generative Engine Optimisation, and you may hear these terms being thrown around alongside SEO. Put simply, GEO is the process of optimising your website for generative AI engines, such as ChatGPT, Gemini, Perplexity, and others.

As a business founder or CEO, you don’t need to understand the ins and outs of GEO, but you should be aware that this isn’t a standalone channel or activity. GEO should be a standard consideration in any search marketing strategy.

Nowadays, good SEO means good GEO. They come hand in hand.

Which is why I take a search ‘everywhere’ approach. Meaning, my audits, plans, and ongoing marketing management services consider all the places your brand could show up when potential clients are searching online. This includes search results and generative AI tools.

HI, I'M AIMEE BINSTEAD

Efficiency nerd. Digital specialist. Creative writer.

My digital career began in the fast-paced world of marketing and advertising agencies, where I led strategies to generate leads, increase ecommerce sales, drive behaviour change, and deliver commercial results for big-name brands. In a few years, I went from a uni graduate to a senior leader. The work was exciting, and the agency experience was unbeatable, but I longed for a more balanced lifestyle - one that allowed me to work remotely and flexibly alongside other passions.

In 2017, from a campervan in the Australian outback, I embraced the freelance life. I launched Trusted Online Marketer to help small and medium-sized business founders access the expertise and support of a digital marketing specialist, without the agency price tag. My goal is to enable time-poor owners and small teams to take off their marketing hat and spend their precious limited time elsewhere, confident that they have a digital partner who genuinely cares about their success.

Now, with more than a decade of experience crafting strategies that connect with audiences, I've helped seven-figure businesses globally see over 1500% ROI. But more than this, by taking the reins of their digital marketing, I've given clients an asset we can't claim back: time.

Your questions answered

What does a digital marketing expert actually do?

A digital marketing expert helps your business get found online, but more importantly, helps turn that visibility into meaningful engagement and sales. I focus on joined-up strategies across SEO, content, paid search, and AI-driven visibility, all aligned to how your audience discovers and decides.

How is your approach to SEO different from traditional agencies?

I package my services or report based on keyword ranking changes. Rankings are important, of course, but beyond this basic KPIs, I look at the quality of traffic, how people behave on your site, and whether your search presence is driving ROI. Everything is tied back to your commercial goals, not vanity metrics.

What is 'Search Everywhere' Optimisation and why does it matter?

Search Everywhere Optimisation is about showing up wherever your audience is searching, not just on Google, but in AI tools like ChatGPT and Gemini, on industry sites, and beyond. It’s a future-proofed approach to search that recognises how discovery is changing.

Do you manage everything, or will I need other freelancers or agencies too?

For search-focused marketing (SEO, Google Ads, blog content), I handle most things in-house. I have sharp digital skills, but I’m no web developer, so some of the technical aspects will need to be passed to a specialist in this area. If you need help with web development or other channels like social media, branding, or graphic design, I’m happy to collaborate with your existing team or recommend someone trusted.

Should GEO (Generative Engine Optimisation) be part of my SEO strategy?

Yes. GEO isn’t a separate service, it’s a natural extension of good SEO. As AI tools become more integrated into search behaviour, it’s important that your content is structured and credible enough to show up in generative responses.

Can you manage both paid search and organic marketing together?

Absolutely. They work best together. I create and manage Google Ads campaigns alongside SEO and content so your brand stays visible at every stage of the buying journey, whether it’s a quick search or a long, considered decision.
