When Grace Tan first approached me for help with improving her website, she explained that she had created the website in Wix but knew that there were improvements that could help
a) the site rank better on Google and other search engines
b) make the site more visually appealing and easy to navigate for users
Optimising a website for search engines and humans
With Grace’s objectives in mind, I did an in-depth SEO audit of the site in its current form and gave Grace detailed feedback on all of the changes that I believed were required.
Following this and with Grace’s approval, I updated the site, taking into account keyword and competitor research, SEO best practice, branding, UX knowledge and conversion optimisation.
I also ensured Grace has full tracking on her website using Google Analytics and that she could easily monitor how many people were sending enquiries.
The result
Before this project took place Chinese Dojo didn’t have the right tracking set up so I can’t give you a before versus after figure for website traffic and SEO performance.
However, I can tell you that the Chinese Dojo website has an average conversion rate of 10.22%. That means 10% of website visitors make an enquiry, which is huge! The average website conversion rate is 1-3%.
Organic search makes up 30% of all website traffic to-date and 35% of all website enquiries. This channel is outperformed only by Google Ads, which is I also manage.
